About Me

Hi, I’m Karol.

For over 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside people through some of life’s most challenging moments.

As a school chaplain, I’ve spent my career listening to young people, parents, families and school staff as they navigated change, grief, anxiety, relationships, uncertainty and the everyday pressures that life can bring. Time and again, I’ve seen the difference that being truly heard can make.

That experience led me to create Sense & Soul Space: a calm, confidential place where adults, parents, school staff and students can pause, reflect and make sense of whatever life is asking of them right now.

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, standing at a crossroads, or simply longing for space to think clearly again, you don’t have to figure it all out alone.

My Story

People often ask why I became a coach.

The truth is, coaching feels like a natural continuation of the work I’ve always loved.

For more than two decades I’ve been privileged to witness people at every stage of life. Teenagers finding their place in the world. Parents carrying more than anyone realises. Teachers trying to balance caring for others while neglecting themselves. Adults navigating career changes, relationship difficulties, loss, menopause, empty nests and fresh beginnings.

I’ve learned that beneath every story is the same human need: to feel heard, understood and accepted.

Sometimes we don’t need someone to give us the answers. We need someone who can listen deeply, ask thoughtful questions and help us rediscover the answers that are already within us.

That’s the heart of my work.

My Approach

I don’t believe coaching is about fixing people.

I believe every person already has strengths, wisdom and resilience, even if life has made them difficult to see.

My role is to create a space where you can slow down, untangle your thoughts and reconnect with what matters most to you.

Our conversations are collaborative, compassionate and practical. Together we’ll explore what’s getting in the way, what you’re hoping for and the small, meaningful steps that can help you move forward with greater confidence and clarity.

No two sessions are the same because no two people are the same.

My Qualifications

Alongside 23 years of experience in pastoral care and wellbeing, I have completed training in:

  • Advanced Diploma in Mental Health & Wellbeing Coaching
  • Trauma-Informed Practice
  • Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
  • Leadership in Education
  • Sociology
  • Bereavement and Loss
  • Ongoing professional development through EMCC and ICF frameworks

I believe learning never stops. Every course, every conversation and every client continues to shape the way I work.

What Matters to Me

Kindness.

Curiosity.

Honesty.

Connection.

I believe meaningful change begins when people feel safe enough to be themselves.

You won’t find judgement here, and you won’t find someone trying to tell you how to live your life.

Instead, you’ll find someone who will listen carefully, challenge you thoughtfully when needed and support you as you find your own way forward.

Outside of Coaching

Away from work, you’ll usually find me walking in nature, enjoying a quiet cup of coffee, on a sideline at some hurling game, spending time with family and friends or finding moments of stillness that help me stay grounded.

Like everyone else, I understand that life isn’t always straightforward. I’ve experienced the joys and challenges of balancing work, family life and caring responsibilities. Those experiences have deepened my empathy and remind me every day that none of us are meant to carry everything on our own.
